Merry Christmas!
The semester is over, but there is still enough work to do on various proposals, recommendation letters, and think pieces that I am in my office instead of at home watching the Steelers game. (Probably a good thing, since the Steelers got beaten pretty badly.) Some nice surprises, though. My assistant, Diana Hyde, stopped in along with her daughter to drop off a really amazing tray of Christmas cookies:

Of course, I’ve got to wonder. While I really like the scarf (should be good for winter scootering), check out what Yahoo! gave to Luis von Ahn…
Now, I realize that Luis is Luis and I’m, well, not. But this really drives the point home, don’t you think?
