Hey Peter, I guess one of the perks of living on the East Coast is that all the big cities are closer together and therefore faster to get to. I do like the sprawling West though.

By the way, have you heard of 6 Hour Power? It’s an energy shot which provides a nice boost of energy without the crash. It’s zero calories and sugar free, too. We’d love for you to take this survey if you’re interested in the drink at all: http://surveymonkey.com/6hrpowersurvey

I work with Stacker 2 so feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions. I hope you don’t mind me commenting on your blog, by the way. Have a great day.

How many of those evil drinks did he have? Use them with caution they will put you in “The Zone”

Why I like Pittsburgh: Reason #38

Personal

My travel schedule has been a little bit crazy lately, with one or two trips a week. It’s easy to complain about the availability of flights in and out of Pittsburgh, but overall it is still just wonderful how easy it is to get to key meeting centers. Last week I was in Chicago, a short one-hour hop. This week I was in Washington DC — morning flight out, evening flight back — my family hardly noticing that I was out of town. Boston, Atlanta, and New York, are all one-day commutes.

With the airlines cutting back on flights, travel from the west coast has gotten harder. People have to take more redeyes, and as Stanford’s Bill Dally said to me this week, “A person can only do a limited number of those.” Notably, Bill was drinking a 5-hour energy drink as he said this to me. In Chicago, Berkeley’s Randy Katz was also taking in 5-hour energy drinks, knocking several of them back during the day.

OK, not that I feel a strong need, but I guess I need to try this stuff…
