Bill Gates to Visit CMU This Month

News

A message from Randy Bryant today:

Members of SCS:

I’m pleased to inform you that Bill Gates will be visiting the Carnegie Mellon University campus on Thurs., Feb. 21.

He will be giving a talk, open to the campus community, at 4:00 in Rangos. Attached is information about attending. Attendance is first-come, first-served.

As happened four years ago, Bill is making a 5-university tour. We are the only repeats from that visit.

The university also put out an announcement that explained:

Microsoft founder, chairman and former CEO Bill Gates will soon embark on a farewell lecture tour of five prominent universities as he transitions from Microsoft into his new role in the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The tour will conclude on Thursday, Feb. 21, when Gates presents a free lecture to the Carnegie Mellon community from 4 to 5 p.m. in Rangos Hall, University Center. Gates’ talk is titled “Bill Gates Unplugged: On Software, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Giving Back.”
