Luis von Ahn named one of AI’s “Ten to Watch”
We’ve received word that IEEE Intelligent Systems magazine has selected Luis von Ahn as one of the “Ten to Watch” for the future of AI. The announcement will be made official in the July/August issue of the magazine. The award is designed to recognize the promise and accomplishments of “new” researchers, as well as to inspire those pursuing or thinking about pursuing AI research.
The article that appeared for last year’s winners is available here. As you can see from last year’s article, the awardees are quite an interesting bunch. I think this is a particularly nice honor for Luis because the nominations and the final selections are made by the research community, as opposed to journalists, investors, or other “pundits”.
